We’re planning a new 230-kilovolt transmission line between our Coteau Creek and Swift Current switching stations.

Project Details

This project will help strengthen Saskatchewan’s power system as new wind and solar generation comes online in the south-central part of the province. It will also help ensure existing generation in the region continues to reliably supply power as part of Saskatchewan’s electricity mix.

The proposed transmission line would be approximately 155-kilometres long on steel H-frames. This project is one key part of a broader plan to move electricity from the area to the homes, businesses and communities across the province.

We Want Your Feedback

Public engagement is important to us. We’re working with Rightsholders and Metis communities, local municipalities and landowners to collect feedback. We’ll use this feedback to develop and refine the best overall route for the new power line, and to understand how we can reduce potential impacts.

We’ll need to secure easements for the new power line right-of-way. Once the preferred route has been determined, we’ll reach out again to directly impacted landowners for more feedback.

You can provide feedback in several ways:

Visit One of our Site Offices

Our team will be available to answer your questions at the venues and times listed below. No appointments required, just drop in. We’ll discuss the project benefits and easement needed, and we’ll work with landowners and other stakeholders to determine a new 40-metre right-of-way for the new power line.
