We’re planning five new transmission line projects across south-central Saskatchewan to strengthen the transmission system, support new and existing sources of power generation and help deliver affordable and reliable power to communities across the province.

Project Details

As Saskatchewan grows and our power system evolves, we need to strengthen the transmission network that delivers power to homes, farms, businesses and communities across the province.

Together these five projects will:

  • improve the reliability of the power system
  • support growing demand for power
  • support the connection of new generation sources alongside existing generation facilities
  • strengthen the transmission system across south-central Saskatchewan
  • help ensure customers continue to have reliable and affordable power in the future

Your Input Matters

Local knowledge helps us understand considerations that technical studies alone may not identify.

We’re looking for feedback on:

  • route options
  • environmental features and wildlife habitat
  • heritage and cultural resources
  • land use and infrastructure
  • potential effects and opportunities to reduce impacts
  • local considerations we should be aware of

We’ll use this feedback, along with technical and environmental studies, to help identify preferred routes for each project.
